New Fan Up Shirt

By ticktock6 on May 12, 2008

FAN UP NEW ORLEANS!!Oddly similar to the first two, except diagonal and sponsored by Harrahs! I’m assuming they’re going to be laid out on the seats for us like last time (hey, Hornets people, do you listen to us?), free for everyone in attendance. Can you say… GOLD OUT!

We’re also going to get a Buzzfest from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM (naturally), featuring Bag of Donuts. Game time for Game 5 is 8:30. Geaux Hornets!!

  1. Awesome that the organization got organized again and will get the whole audience to dress in the same color. It creates a much better image of solidarity. We’ll have to wait and see if Pop notices.

  2. What crowd? When? Where?

  3. Have fun tomorrow! Wish i were there…
    Be loud and crazy! ;)

  4. That’s a nice shirt by Harrah’s, by the way. :)

  5. Michael says:

Anyone else think it’s strange Paul isn’t on the first defensive team, they didn’t even put a point guard on there. You’d think the league leader in steals would be first team though……(sigh) nba is dissappointing me as of late

  6. ANOTHER gold t-shirt that looks the same? Actually, it’s not so much the gold, but it’s the fact that the what’s on the shirt is almost identical. I’ll take the free shirt anyway, and I’m glad everyone will be wearing the same thing. I guess I should just shut up now.

  7. Yeah it’s pretty much the same shirt…

  8. I got the call. Im going :)

    Woooooo…..

    ……WOOOOOOOO!!!!

  9. the crowd’s gotta be wilder and crazier than ever–if we don’t win tonight, i don’t think we’ll see the hornets again til next year

  10. but WE WILL WIN TONIGHT!!!

  11. C_Town, I think we successfully FANNED UP!

  12. @ Michael: I totally agree with you. I have a big problem with the All-Star, All-Team, and All-Defensive Team voting system. It’s exactly what you said, they don’t relate to real positions. Sometimes they do by chance, but often not. I know coaches play with line-ups, but the fact of the matter is, there are standard 1-5 positions, and more often than not, guys play one of those positions more than the rest.

To use the All-Defensive Team as an example, you have a first team composed of a natural SG, SF, PF, PF, and C. No PG, and the “SF” is listed as “G/F.” Yeah. Second Team is a PG, SG, SF, SF, and C. So you have no point guard and two power forwards on the First Team, and then two small forwards and no power forward on the Second Team. What this tells me is that, as you said, Chris Paul should have been on First Team, and so should Shane Battier (per more votes than the next SF). Likewise, according to total votes, Bruce Bowen (alleged guard) and Tim Duncan (PF) should have been Second Team. Actually, I’d even go a step further, and say Bowen should be held to his natural SF position, thus pushing Tayshaun Prince off the list as a redundant SF, and making room for (with Duncan is PF, Howard C, and Bell SG) Chauncey Billups as PG (the next highest vote getter).

    But that’s just me.
