Oh, see, someone must have known it was my birthday.

Who gave this kid a camera? The Hornets as a team are pretty goofy. Sniff. I miss them.

Indeed, put in my hearty ‘happy birthday’ along with the rest of ‘em! If I weren’t poor and an F-list celebrity, I’d hit up Ceiling Fan and send him to your door. Believe that!

Nah, it’s cool. My cat would be so scared of a dude that tall I wouldn’t see him for a week. :-P

Happy Birthday! And looks like we got a new nickname for JuJu… Ed the Horsie (Horsy?). Gotta get to work in my Shop for Photos.

I couldn’t figure out whether they were talking about Ely or JuJu there?

Okay I just wanted to say that part of being a Hornets fan is being a basketball fan, and part of being a Chris Paul fan is being a fan of sportsmanship. This is why all Hornets fans should join me and cheer for the Celtics, it sucks that the hornets didn’t win it all but honestly I was just hoping they’d make the playoffs but they did better than that so they’ll just get better. But now there are two teams, one a team full of allstars with good work ethic and who make the NBA look good. Another team a guy who stole the MVP award, who stabs his teammates in the back, who makes decisions off the court that are extremely jacked up and basically gives the league a bad name. So I hope all fellow Hornets fans will see that and cheer for the Celtics to win the championship. Garnett is a great player along with some guys who deserve to finally win, of course it would also be great to shut up all the L.A. fans who’ve been talking crap all year round. Just sayin’ my peace, oh and Happy Birthday TT6

Michael– I can tell you for a fact that I am cheering for the Celtics. But mW is cheering for the Lakers. (… Ponders whether to out him and disclose that he owns a Kobe jersey… oh oops…)

I always root for the guys that have been playing forever and haven’t won (unless the Hornets were there instead– then I’d be all “SUCK IT OLD GUYS FROM BOSTON! THE FUTURE IS CHRIS PAUL!!!!!!”)

Seriously, though, I just get this vibe from Kobe like everything he does is calculated. “Being cool to his teammates” = a means to an end. I don’t know why I get that vibe. I just do, especially in the wave of positive “nice Kobe” coverage we’ve gotten since April. I don’t feel he’s genuine. Contrast him to P^2, who was stuck in crappy Boston being miserable for years and whose emotional reaction to the ups and downs of these playoffs seems really honest. (Of course then there’s KG, who might possibly be from another planet and is a cold vicious killer…)

What I don’t like about kobe is that after what ten seasons he does the same thing, CP3 gets media attention for being unselfish and then they say he’s in the lead for MVP. So then kobe gets one more assist a game and he is such an unselfish player according to the media, so to me it’s like he watched the news and saw the attention Paul got so he passes a few more times and he’s back in the running. Our current MVP is someone who was begging to be traded, he turned on his team and insulted teammates behind their back, that’s just ridiculous to me. Bryant is a cancer on the game of basketball because his true self will always shine through, and that is the selfish gimme gimme bryant he is. That is why the lakers lost game one and will lose again, because bryant wanted the ball and they contained him. With the Celtics I see the rebirth of a dynasty and with players who deserve it, I can honestly say I respect every player on their roster(…well almost every player). Oh and I can say I have a Pierce Jersey, only to wear to the staples center while they watch their lakers lose….it’s so great.

did anyone see the kobe interview from a few days ago. he was asked about the trade and said “I had no choice but to be traded”. that is a load of crap, tough it out and make your team better, chris paul is the real mvp.

  9. mW says:

The fact of the matter is, however, Kobe is the best player in the game. He’s a freakish athlete that works as hard as anyone in the game. I’m actually kind of surprised how many Hornets fans are anti-Lakers. I mean, they are still the West. Does anyone really believe that ANY team out of the East deserves to be called champion? Please.

Plus, as Hornets fans, I thought we could recognize, and respect, that the Lakers are a team. Other than Gasol, those guys have been together for years. If Kobe “trusts” them more, it’s because they’re playing better than ever. In that way, they are a lot like us. The Celtics are basically trying to buy a championship by putting together a few talented guys.

  10. ticktock6 says:

“Manimal… half man, half animal.” LOL. I missed that the first time around.

It’s not that I hate most of the Lakers. But Kobe won MVP and already has won championships. That’s usually the factor I use when picking random teams after my team is out: who’s got people, especially older players, who have never won.

  11. Michael says:

CP3 is a player who makes others better, bryant is a player who wants allstars delivered. Paul took guys who other teams in the league had no interest in and helped them get better, with time and a bond that can only exist between real friends off and on the court. kobe will never understand what that is like and I’ll be glad when he is out of the playoffs because he’s not the best in the game now, he has never been the best. Many have scored a lot of points, many still do, he wasn’t even the best at doing that this season James was, and James was better with assists and rebounds. bryant was hyped up for some unknown reason and I’ll be glad when he’s no longer around because now Paul has one less MVP award to add to his legacy because of pity votes or “about time votes” that bryant took in. The way the Celtics contained him was incredible and they did contain him, they gave him a few shots but most of the time when he’d go up for something easy they made it difficult or blocked his shot. If he avoided his selfish ways at the end of the game they might have had a chance to win, but that is kobe and it always will be.

    Poor Rasual.

    “Fellin’ good.”

Might as well have said “Feelin’ really comfortable with the ass groove I’ve created on the pine.”
