@ Michael--- You know, I said this the other day, what happened to Kobe's supposedly injured pinky anyway? I think he just didn't feel like going to the All Star Game. (Does that mean HE DIDN'T WANT TO COME TO NEW ORLEANS, like that bitchass Tracy "I'm afraid of getting shot in the NOLA" McGrady? HMM?) We don't hear about it hardly at all anymore. And Lakers fans are gonna get on Pierce for being questionably injured/overreacting. Right.

@ Mikey & everyone-- I wrote at the time that if the Hornets were ready, they don't lose that game. And they lost the game, a game that the Spurs' stars didn't play particularly well in either. So you pretty much have to chalk it up to not being ready, and know that they won't let it happen again. I agree that it was on them.

@ Kobe Haters Anon-- Because Mike (mW that is, damn, you guys all start with M) wont' appreciate... Curt Schilling's observations from courtside at Game 2. Now admittedly he's got a Boston bias, (and plays baseball, ew) but scroll down for his Kobe thoughts. I thought it was interesting coming from a non-watcher of the NBA. It was his first time seeing Kobe. And, it seems, his second time sitting courtside, where you can hear EVERYTHING.

i haven't been watching the Finals but i think it would've been tough for us to beat LA too without sufficient bench production... but CP3 vs. Kobe would've been cool to watch. =)
And the Spurs killed us in Game 7-- i was looking for comeback and we almost did if Pargo's 3 had gone in but alas, it didnt' and we had no really clutch player to bring us back........

Well the thing about playoff experience is different between the Celts and the Hornets, see the Hornets main guys(cept Peja) were bench players in the playoffs or not at all. While the Celtics have Pierce who lead the C's to the eastern conference finals with the Celts, Ray Allen lead the Bucks to the eastern conference finals, and KG lead the T'wolves to the western conference finals before, they are all seasoned veterans who have lead their teams so combined they were either going to get greedy(like some players) or work together for a common goal. So playoff experience cannot be used against players like these.

I'm still shocked honestly that lakers fans(and I'm in orange Co. so I know) thought the lakers would destroy Boston when they lost to them twice in the regular season. That takes some balls to say that about the best team in the league this year, and honestly they must have sold a soul or two to the devil to get three allstars like that on their team. It's what kids did to their teams on the old nba live games, just traded for all allstars. If they go down 3-0 I bet their news guys will be whining about fouls(which is a shock from lakers fans with as many ft's as bryant normally gets) or dissing Pierce about him being a man and playing through pain, of course they don't forget to mention what a freakin' hero bryant is for his pinkie, HIS FREAKIN' PINKIE HONESTLY IT LOOKS SO HURT THE WAY HE SHOOTS THE BALL!!!

That game 7 the Spurs made their 3's. In the Lakers series, they didn't, except for one game, which they consequently won. I got over the Spurs game 7 loss very quickly. Our defensive plan was built around stopping Timmeh, and accept risk on giving up perimeter shots. We we contained Timmeh, for the most part, but they beat us down in the area we were willing to give up. The best team won that series. We never gave up though, and this year at least, I'm comfortable with that. If we were like the the Mavs, i.e. in the hunt every damn year, I woulda been pissed.

Funny how no one talks about the fact that THIS Celtics team has no playoff experience as a team. They may have some guys who have been around the block, but most of these guys were on other rosters last year, and playing together is a whole different thing than just playing.

It's funny the whole playoffs they said experience and the Hornets played through and did well. But the seventh game they just kinda choked, I hate saying it but they had home court advantage and the spurs weren't even doing that well, it should have been a blowout win for us but our shots weren't falling that night, we even had a chance to win but they just weren't falling.

I think it was just a matter of getting over san antonio, then i really felt we had a good chance of winning a championship. Lakers vs. Hornets would have been alot better series than the one we had to put up with, Hornets vs. Jazz also would have been epic. Did anyone catch the CP commercial during last nights game?
