Hornets Hype

In a basement. In our pajamas.

… I find it amusing that I’ve managed to be on both Hornets.com and True Hoop (somewhat trickier to spot) today without having spent more than five actual minutes on the computer since I got up.

Now that’s efficiency. 8-)

Now, if you wanted actual news about the Hornets’ free agency moves, I got nothing. In fact, I’m starting to get a little frustrated and thinking maybe they don’t really have something major in the works after all…

HornetsHype’s official stance is that we are not in panic mode yet.

P.S. Olympics special “Road to Redemption” on ESPN2 at 6 P.M. Central. I’m sure it’ll be replayed, but Chris Paul is on it at any rate.

The NBA has all these stupid rules even when it comes to free agency so just because you don’t hear something all the time doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. You know how upset Scott was with the bench last season so you know he’s looking to fill a few spots so we can have a more consistent reserve this upcoming season. The Hornets are looking into a lot of veterans and will make offers based on what we can offer them(most likely less pay than they’d expect but with a chance for a championship).

  2. I just get nervous when I hear shit about Maggette going to the Spurs because that just makes them better. We can offer him the MLE too.

Honestly I don’t know if we have as much money as he wants but then again I think as long as we keep Pargo and can pull in a decent swingman, because I see Maggette as a starter(when he is healthy) and we need a bench player, while it would be awesome to have someone like him coming off the bench I also think we don’t need him. Solidifying our backups is our only goal for the summer and I’m sure lesser knowns are showing the Hornets what they can add to our team, and besides if they can add a good player that might not be as sought after as others then we’d save money and improve the team at the same time. But who knows who will get I just try and not think about it, Byron will do with this team what he did with the Nets so I know he’ll make the best decisions with the team.

Okay something that is odd to me, why are the utah jazz signing players who slightly resemble the russian boxer in rocky 4. “I will break you” just look at their draft picks

    You are a marvel of hornets-ness :)

(the Hornets photographer that was there has equipment that made mine look like poo. Why were his pics so…..un-fun?)

  6. He should have totally gone with the Honeybee shots.

  7. Matt-Storm Surge says:

Considering he had ~$5k in body and lens, youd think he woulda used the flash to better effect.

He cant use my photos if he doesnt ask….*SNIFF*…damn snooty photographers…

  8. Word is Diop is going back to the Dallas, and that the Mavs are also signing free agent and former dunk contest winner Gerald Green.

  9. Matt-Storm Surge says:

At this point, I just hope we get someone decent and proven. We need just one more piece for everything to fall into place.

  10. Added info about the Olympics special that’s on right now. CP3 should be on… they’re going to be ongoing throughout the summer. ESPN2.

LOL. Lil rookie Chris Paul from 2006 and they’re making him carry all the equipment bags. Tellingly, however, he gets to take the mike and address servicemen and women in Korea even as a rookie. He’s just that guy. (…reminds self it doesn’t matter what happens in free agency because we have CP and were this close to being there last year with the same roster…)

  11. Rumors now swirling around the Hornets looking at the ex-Piston Jarvis Hayes. WTF?

  12. Matt-Storm Surge says:

I have no clue. It seems like were linked to everyone but no good intel is coming to the surface.
