I was watching Sex and the City all afternoon & just saw it.

I knew we were going to overpay/overextend the contract. Sigh.

Funny thing about Game 2 here, is that with them in gray instead of black, it was impossible to read their numbers on the NBA.com feed. It kind of made analyzing who was doing what hard. I will say this, though, Julian finally started to turn it on, and Hilton continued to look good. Bobby Brown was surprisingly good and might be working Pargo out of the roster (considering we already have Mike James under contract). Bowman, who we didn't even comment about first game, looked good in Game 2 also.

On the flip side, Adam Haluska was disappointing and Vedenov missed a bunch of shots too. A lot of the rest didn't look impressive, but I couldn't tell which were which. When they scored you could hear their name called. When they bricked 'em up, not so much.

As far as I know, he is out and about having workouts for other teams. He was in Boston and Cleveland at least.

(course wouldn't Andersen be a perfect candidate for the summer league then since he was out for so long due to that suspension and could show that he is capable....but I dunno)

Oh okay thanks for the info, I really hope the Hornets are doing their best to develop Andersen before next season. People can tell me their opinion but I think our bench would be dominating with Armstrong at power forward and Andersen with his leaping ability at center, we played Wright a few times at power foward for a quicker line up but we really shouldn't do that too much could lead to him getting injured if he's playing against a natural power forward.

Michael, you hardly ever see NBA players who have more than 2 or 3 years of experience suiting up at summer league. The theory on that is summer league is for guys who are in the development stages of their careers. The only time I've seen multi-year veterans in Las Vegas might be in cases where they are trying to prove to GMs and scouts that they are healthy after suffering an injury. Milt Palacio fit that description for the Hornets in 2007; he already had something like 500 career NBA games under his belt but wanted to make sure everyone knew that he had recovered from an injury in 2006-07 and was 100 percent physically.

As for Chris Andersen, he has six years of experience in the league and about 250 games. He just turned 30 on July 7. In general, the thinking is that guys past a certain age aren't "developing" so it would be unlikely for someone of his background to be in summer league. Teams generally use their roster spots on players who left college within the past two or three years.

I don't think there are really any written or set rules about being eligible or not eligible to play in summer league. But in general all teams seem to follow the same logic in how they pick players to go there.

Oh yeah and I meant to add this, okay so if you've been in the league for awhile are you not allowed to play on the summer league team, is it just for developing younger players(wondering why andersen isn't on the team so we can develop him further) I have followed the league for awhile but never been able to follow the summer league so just curious

Hmmm so some observations I made, I really hope we resign pargo and that the hornets management doesn't see bobby brown as a cheap alternative, we need pargo and his clutch shooting and his speed. Secondly I am so glad that the game that arthur kid had against us was a fluke, cause if he became really dominant I might start flipping out over us trading him in the draft. And finally, ......WHEN ARE WE GONNA FIND OUT OF WE ARE PICKING ANYONE UP ALREADY AHHHHHH with what little space they have in their pockets if the lakers can get artest or at least talk about it why can't we get artest, with him our defense would be up there with boston. Of course posey would be a good help too with his ability to guard just about anyone and to hit the three, imagine paul, peterson, peja, and posey(4P) chandler would have an easy time inside because those are three shooters(and with paul improving his 3point shooting each season) four good shooters from behind the arc giving us abit of what the magic have with r. lewis hmm......the possibilities. So the hornets goal should be to work with pargo to make him more of a traditional pg while retaining his quickness and ability to drive to the basket and to sign at least one good bench player to compliment our decent bench.
