Clearly there is nothing to hype.
After the defense was so horrific in the 4th quarter that the team went down by 8 to the Sacramento Kings’ backups, I performed the unspeakably douchey act of folding down the BELIEVES part on our THE BACK ROW BELIEVES banner.
So that pretty much sums it up.

That really, really hurt. It was my first game back in the hive since the Game 7 Pargo a-go-go, and I’m not happy with what section 119 has turned into. First, I never, ever boo my own team; you shouldn’t either.
Throwing pennies at the Kings fan doesn’t make you cool, drunk guy. It’s douchey, and there were kids around the lone Kings fan. I’m sure it will be collateral damage in your dumbass brain if they catch a cent in your eye. If I see you at the game again, I will turn you in.
We have problems defending the paint, and that is really bad. We are careless with the ball on offense. Hopefully, the Hornets will remember how to play ball again before Friday. I won’t stand losing to the Thunder. It might make me physically ill.
Pose shot an airball; ’nuff said
[Middle fingers extended to Hornets bench.] P.S. not you Bowen or Marks.
I don’t know if it’s time to stop believing. But Bluto is right. Just chug a bottle of Jack and you’re forget all about this mess. Mostly because you’ll end up waking up in a hospital.
Jumpin Jesus on a pogo stick! WTF? My brother in Sacramento called me mid-way through the 1st Quarter moaning about how the Bees were walking all over the Kings. We closed our convo at the end of the quarter. I wake up to a huge steaming pile of FAIL.
Im really really reaching here, but the Kings and the Jazz were the only two teams with a winning record against us last year.
*super-glueing that hope to me right now*
I believe WTF says it nicely.
P.S. Two people have emailed me so far this morning asking if it’s possible put the Hornets on their own Shit List. Y’all are vicious.
How about fans that boo their own team? Clearly shit list material
tt6: I asked if its even possible. Not quite the same thing.
@myself, no, I got the wording to my question wrong. I asked if they could be put on it.
NOTE to self: word questions better.
I’m not going to lie, I was mad last night. And I started taking down my sign with 2 minutes left. A combination of wanting to run out of there as soon as humanly possible and disbelief that they’d put themselves in that situation yet again after leading the entire first half.
But there was a dangerous point where I wasn’t sure where the boos were going– I think some people were trying to get a boo going against the Kings. I think others were pissed off. It was when the second unit went out and CP/DW/Peja/etc were back in and you could clearly see the defensive hustle had dropped.
Yes, I was mad they sucked too. But booing is never going to help. I hope, hope, hope last night was a low point.
@ Matt: I got what you meant. So really it was my wording that was bad.
I pondered this last year. At some point. I can’t remember when, but I think it was the two consecutive inexplicable losses to the Wizards. Around then. But I decided that no matter how bad it gets no Hornet will ever be on the List.
That doesn’t mean I can’t make nasty sarcastic posts. But I don’t mean it. I’m even over it this morning. Seriously.
I love this team. They can be whoever they want. But they need to make a group decision on who that’s going to be, soon.
@tt6
I have an alternate. Put the opposing team on the list. They werent sufficiently motivated to lose
So I got good tickets to the clippers/ Hornets game and I tell myself it’s because they were cheaper that way but I guess I didn’t want to show up to a lakers game and watch us lose. A team with this much talent and all of a sudden we are choking. Paul seems to be pretty consistent but if only I could say the same for the rest. Seriously if we lose to the clippers I think I’ll take a Hornets vacation or something cause that would truly smash my dreams of a championship for the year.
Rough night. But I still believe. To clarify also the above, when I referred to the Hornets bench above, I meant the whole team. The second unit was great last night. It was the starters who blew it.
Please the Queens! I liked sacramento before New Orleans got a Team, but the queens seriously. Our bench needs to rebuild, and I wouldn’t be suprised to see any of our starters traded, sad but true. Peja Please! Get your shot on! I believe all sport stars are overpaid but atleast some of them try hard to earn it Dwest yeah CP yeah… but the rest come on earn your millions please!
Last night the bench had us up by 7 or 8 when Chris Paul and Tyson came in. Their energy level and defensive pressure was CLEARLY double that of the starters. I saw none of the easy drives to the basket that were occurring at the start of the 2nd half once the bench was inserted. CP3 and DW had several turnovers in the closing eighth, and the starters played sagging defense that allowed easy passes to ex-Hornets standing around in the corner waiting to beat us.
I would like to see JuJu take some more minutes from DW until DW gets some energy back. I’d also like to see the Hornets have some more fun. The eternally pissed-off attitude doesn’t seem to be working for them. Let’s expand the rotation, mix-n-match youth with experience, and have some fun. Bring on some Bowen!! Immediately bench anyone who uses the phrase “and one!” or commits a pissed-off technical foul. Alley-oop to JuJu and Hilton once in a while. Let Tyson shoot 2 threes per game until he hits one. Bring a bucket of water on the court like the Harlem Globetrotters.
F. U. N. Dammit!
NoEngineer– I 100% endorse your comment, and feel exactly the same way.
