Hornets Hype

In a basement. In our pajamas.

SNEAUX!

OK, you got me. This post was completely gratuitous. This is only the 3rd time it’s snowed in New Orleans in the past 20 years, to give you out-of-towners an idea how special this is.* :-)

So, the Hornets blew out the Bobcats last night. Peja was 5 of 6 from three, and Chris Paul hit every shot he took for 15 points and 15 assists. There. Now you have basketball content.

*Not for me, because I grew up in Upstate New York… but it’s still pretty.

My 3-year-old was quite impressed with the snow since (like others born here) he had not seen it before. I grew up just south of Buffalo, and so had to show him and my co-workers how to properly make a snowman (roll, not pack!). The Hornets are in first place in the division and looking like I remember from last year. Beating Boston would be most convincing. Why not, we already beat Cleveland, Denver, and Portland….

  2. You know, after the Hornets beat the Celtics, and everyone says how great we are, it’s going to be so weird that they (or we) ever doubted this team.

But then again, we never had Antonio Daniels before.

  3. No Daniels vs. the Celtics : ( : ( : (

  4. that bench will be brutal looking on tv… Antonio can’t come soon enough

  5. Quote of the night from the ESPN recap of the Boston/Washington game:

“James checked in to start the second quarter and 30 seconds later hoisted his first shot, a 3-pointer that missed. He wound up shooting 0-for-6, scoring one point. ”

So sad to see him go…..
