AT THE SAME TIME. That’s multi-talented. That’s Chris Paul.
This Mardi Gras version of the new CP3 II released in New Orleans over the weekend. The shoes are supposed to release nationwide on March 14, in many other colorways. Click the link for more pics of the shoe. I don’t know, I gotta say there is a lot going on on that sneaker, but the swirls do remind me of Mardi Gras.
Speaking of which, Chris Paul and James Posey were spotted wandering about the Uptown parade route yesterday. Here’s the thread on Hornets Report with the pics. I personally think it is 100% awesome to see the team out and about in the city, rather than lying low in Kenner or something. (LAME! But then, you all know I love being in New Orleans and wouldn’t live outside the city limits if you paid me!) See CP3 trying to be all crafty in that photo… whatev, you aren’t fooling me. I went to college and I know a good cup hide when I see one.

Kickin it in flip flops
Sweet kicks.
I saw a guy in these at the game tonight.
And we won. Let’s hope every time a fan wears those shoes, home or road game, we win. We may just win thirty straight.
So since his return Chandler has played how we wanted him to play he is getting those rebounds and getting his points the way he should be as the garbage man. With him to clean up and if he keeps going the way he is we will once again have a good shot at running the gauntlet in the playoffs. He just has to stay hungry and healthy, I kinda think we should pull a page out of the celts book and try to get joe smith. He is a veteran who can defend well and if only for the rest of this season he could help fill some holes on our bench, just thinking of a Posey/Smith defensive unit coming off the bench is just a thing of beauty. Of course who knows maybe Marks will be the big man off the bench for us now as he has been getting quite a few boards I kinda wish Ely would pick up his game as he has shown flashes of greatness but who knows.
Ely shaved his head, if you weren’t aware of this. It took me till the 3rd quarter to realize he was on the bench. Maybe the new lighter weight will help.
Byron didn’t play Ely or Hilton at all last night… I thought that was kinda harsh, but then I remember being at the game and actually making the comment that it was amazing the Pistons were such a great playoff team with such a skinny starting lineup. I mean, yes, they have toughness and speed and Sheed, but I definitely got a perspective on how small Hamilton and Prince are when compared to even a guy like Butler. Not that they play small. But we didn’t have to go superbig off the bench.
Scott said in the paper yesterday or today that he’d take Joe Smith in a second.
Yep you can bet rip and prince only eat at the salad bar and it’s a miracle they have not been injured more in their careers. I hope they do go for Smith because people often underestimate what he brings to a team he really picks up his game when it matters.
