Comparing CP to Bowen is insane. Accentuating contact is one thing. I.e., Dirk. To foul a person as much and as hard as you can (whether or not you are breaking the rules) just to see if it will be called, is usually the kind of escalating behavior that leads one to being called “dirty,” i.e., Bowen.

Guys who are “dirty” are usually those who end up hurting someone. For example, Kenyon Martin BROKE ELY’S FACE last year with a careless elbow. I saw Kenyon drop two equally vicious karate chops on the arms of both CP and DX last night. No need for that. Make the hard foul and move on. You do something that can break another player’s bones, then you shouldn’t be on the floor. And you’re dirty.

I don’t think the Denver is a “dirty” team or even has that kind of a rep. But Kenyon is one of “those” guys. No doubt. People say that about Posey, too. So be it. But Chris? Please.

Wait. Are Denver fans complaining about that Tyson pick? Melo is ok. It may have just stunned him a bit but he was ok. I’ll bet Denver fans would’ve loved it if one of their players did that to a Hornets player. Then there would be no complaining about it from them at all.

stormsurge: Generally the defense is vocal enough to call a pick for awareness, so either they didn’t do their job well, or Melo just got unlucky. It’s not like it was a blindside open-court pick.

Hope Melo is okay, but it was a legal, hard pick.
