Hornets Hype

In a basement. In our pajamas.

Don’t get too comfortable, JR….. I’m coming for you. ;-)

I'm coming for you

I knew I saved this picture for a certain moment

In all seriousness, though, thanks for being with us this season! We’ll be around, taking the hype into the summer. And talking about the NBA playoffs like they’re going out of style (Serious Question: if the Hornets aren’t in the playoffs, then can the playoffs really be said to be in style? … I think not!). And making changes in our heads that will never happen in real life. And drafting future greatness. And making small moves, or maybe even big moves. But the important point is, we’ll be here.

Because, really, you’re gonna tell Chris Paul that, because of one bad week, he’s out of it for next year? Then I got two words for you:

STAND. BACK.

  1. Wow. What a ride, what a ride. We knew without the good health we had last season that it would amount to us not getting very far so here we are, at the end of our season. For some reason I’m not all that upset. I’m glad CP and the guys will get the rest their torn up bodies need and I hope good things come during this offseason. Time to look ahead now.

  2. Mo– You know what? We tend to forget that now. EVERYONE said that. I said it in my team preview. Every other Hornets blog said it. “The Hornets are not deep. They need to stay healthy.” The whole season hinged on IF THEY ARE HEALTHY they can get to the WCF, if they get healthy they can get the 2 or 3 seed. And then they weren’t. And for some reason we were surprised things fell apart, when we shouldn’t have been.

  3. gutterguy says:

Paul playing 40+ minutes? Without the bench there will be no championship. I don’t know about you guys, but I agree with Charles Barkley. I’m ticked off that the Nuggets kept throwing CP3 to the ground and none of the rest of the team came to his aid and chucked Chauncey.

As far as I’m concerned, they can blow up the roster, keep Paul and West, and rebuild.

  4. We are out now.

It is true that Hornets bench is not deep, and starters are not healthy enough.

But it is also obvious that the Hornets are not as tough as they used to be.

Are there anything going on within the locker room and team management?

I guess you all have read this article.
