More importantly, may this serve as a gentle-yet-firm prodding to go get regular medical checkups, especially if there is (as in my life) a history of cancer in your family. The life you save quite literally could be your own. “Cancer” is a word this Hornets fan would just as soon not have to deal with (don’t we all feel that way) but that said, I am hopeful this was detected at an early enough stage to give Mr. Shinn the best-possible prognosis.
